It costs me almost 9 bucks to drive to work!
filed in How To on Sep.21, 2009
Thanks to the Internet i found out how to calculate the cost to drive someplace such as work. The tile of this post would be true if i was driving our new (old) Expedition back and forth from home to work. Here is the Calculation that i used:
Miles driven divided by MPG = Gallons used.
Gallons used multiplied by price per gallon = Total price spent for miles driven.
Total cost divided into total miles = Cost per mile.

Thank you Jr. High Math! Is that really how much gas costs there now?!

if you are referring to the picture in the post then no. that picture if off of Flickr.
Currently Gas is around $3 bucks plus or minus 3 cents.
Last night i was debating on whether or not to drive out to Costco or just going up the street to the local gas station. so i went to the interwebs to help me solve this “jr.high” math problem. turns out for me, it makes more sense to just go the local gas station.

It costs $9 per day? Wow. That’s absurd. Hey, I don’t mean to rub it in…but the cheapest gas out here (from gasbuddy.com) is $2.19. Another great reason to leave that stinkhole you call California and move to Colorado. We miss you here! Look at it this way, you’ve already got four friends out here.
